These are my girlfriendsUntangling My Dream Catcher I’ve been spending a lot of time untangling my dream catcher this month. By hand sewing together pieces of my childhood, I attempted to capture a feeling of home. I guess I just wanted to have all my favorite things in one place. Or maybe I wanted to remember who gave them to me. Either way, this was lots of fun to make. Materials: thread, grocery bag canvas, lace, dream catcher, mesh, family photos taken by my mother Anna Hill, my old ballet shoes, candle wax, ink, my father’s Boy Scout patches, a feather I found in the woods, lampshade tassel, the tag that was given to me from my favorite pair of jeans.
