I don’t really chase aesthetics. I chase the things that make me feel good, and aesthetics tend to follow.

Things I pay attention to:

I like being strong, but I care more about having a body that can do things.

Run. Bend. Jump. Turn. Play. Move freely. And hopefully still do all of it when I’m much older.

I don’t really diet either. I just pay attention to which foods make me feel good—energized, clear, light—not sluggish and bloated.

Coincidentally, those foods make me look better as well.

Same with sleep. Sunlight. Walking. Nature. Movement. Recovery.

I do these things because they make my life feel better.

It just happens that most of the things that make you feel better also make you look better.

Maybe aesthetics shouldn’t be the goal. Maybe they’re just the side effect.
