this shoot was so special to me !!!!

another persons beauty is never an absence of your own ! again - another person’s beauty is never an absence of your own 🫂
lately this has been so easy for me to forget, being a young woman, as well as being in the industry, it is so incredibly easy to get stuck in the comparison game.

for me, this shoot is a reflection of my journey of self love, how much i’ve grown into my own look, and art that depicts me in an authentic way.

self love isn’t selfish.
and i think that’s always something i have struggled with, the thought of taking up space.

i always found the lines so thin and confusing.
being confident turned into being full of yourself,
expressing excitement about opportunities turned into bragging,
sharing work turned into attention seeking.

my lovely religion teacher gave me a prayer in grade 9 , that i take on all my travels

“your playing small does not serve the world”
- and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
