First few days back on Mallorquin land during European trip.

day 1 of our TMB highlights tour

and just like that… the adventure begins.

day 1 started with a little “what did we just sign up for?” energy. new faces, new mountains, a new rhythm… and a guide quickly reminding us this was the Alps: “keep moving, less stopping, fewer photos… it can be dangerous.”

but then… the magic settled in.

Val Ferret opened up with the most breathtaking views of Mont Blanc and a trail that looked like it had its own secret gardener — wildflowers everywhere, shades of purple, pink, alpine orchids… nature showing off at every turn.

we climbed our way up to Rifugio Walter Bonatti (2,025 m) — a hidden gem in the mountains named after one of Italy’s legendary mountaineers. a place full of stories, history, and alpine magic.

our “easy” first day:
6 km + 550 m elevation gain… because even an Alps warm-up comes with a climb.
